The professor of this course Romaine was very helpful and we all learned a lot from him as he expanded our knowledge and encouraged us to take risks as learners. The test at the end of the course was extremely difficult and likely developmental inappropriate. An oral discussion/interview/meeting with the professor where they could give you immediate feedback as to your progress would be more helpful at this early stage in language accusation. The student could then take the feedback from the professor and demonstrate his/her use of that feedback which would be a better demonstration of learning on the part of the student. I understand that this test is but a snapshot of what the student knows at the moment and is inherently unreliable. Given that this is an independent school there could be more creative and student centred/holistic ways for students to show their learning like perhaps a presentation at the end of the class where the student has to use some of the new language that they learned and apply it. I do not like the module approach to learning either as it ignore the fact that not all students learn the same way but we are lucky we had an excellent professor who helped us learn what we needed to know.
There are a lot of pages that doesn´t change to the next one. Also there are exercises where it´s not possible to choose an answer.
When it got stucked, after refreshing the website it changes automatically to other Unit and exercise.
